Costpoint Advanced Revenue Recognition (SOLD OUT)

This session focuses exclusively on the complex issue of revenue recognition and the Project Ledger within Costpoint. Incorporating a mix of theory and hands-on exercises, this advanced course examines how Costpoint stores revenue in the Project Ledger for different revenue formulas - ultimately impacting the Project Status Report.

We look closely at the issues of switching revenue formulas, changing the revenue formula level, adopting a new owning org, and deleting formulas. Underlying all of this, we examine the effects of the revenue redistribution utility. This utility is the keystone to a healthy Project Ledger and accuracy on the Project Status Report at all levels of the project. Our activities include before and after looks at the project ledger, transaction entry, and revenue processing.

Course Timing: 9:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Costpoint Touchpoints: Interactions between Modules and Other Products (SOLD OUT)

This session focuses on the interaction that exists between Costpoint’s modules and our suite of product offerings. We start with a high level overview, and then we go into the specifics of data flows between modules. We incorporate data flows between Time & Expense, Costpoint, Cobra, Open Plan, and wInsight.

Using extensive data flow diagrams, this session emphasizes the inter-dependencies between products and Costpoint modules. This theory based class provides an opportunity for discussion and questions regarding these products, the coordination of processing and timing options, and the criticality of having a “big picture” view of how the integration of these products impacts the design and use of these products. If you have been operating in a vacuum within the boundaries of one product, this course “brings it all together”.

Course Timing: 9:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
